Useful Service NSW Links

Handy shortcuts

The Service NSW pages our clients most often need, collected in one place, with a note on where each one fits into a rehabilitation program.

Where this fits

A note on tests and rehabilitation

We do not prepare people for the driver knowledge test or the licence test. We list these links because our clients regularly need them.

There are two situations where they relate directly to rehabilitation:

  • Medical fitness to drive. Where a medical condition, injury or change in function raises a question about a licence, Transport for NSW may require an assessment. An occupational therapy driver assessment is often the evidence they need, and we provide it.
  • Re-licensing after a long break. Clients who stopped driving years ago sometimes find their licence has lapsed and must be reinstated. Service NSW manages that process. We help you build the confidence to sit in the car for it.

If you are unsure which of these applies to you, call 1800 867 277 before you book anything.

FAQs

Commonly Asked Questions

1. Is Safe2Go a driving school?

No. Safe2Go is not a driving school. We are a specialised rehabilitation service. Our team includes a registered psychologist, occupational therapists and rehabilitation driver trainers who work together to help people return to driving after accident, injury, trauma or a medical condition. We do not teach learner drivers to pass a test.

2. What experience do you have?

Safe2Go has over 15 years of experience supporting people living with driving phobia, driving anxiety, PTSD, GAD and adjustment disorder. If we had to summarise our program in one word, it would be freedom.

3. Do you offer psychological services?

Yes. Psychological support is a core part of what we do, and it is available on its own. You do not have to be enrolled in a driving program to see our psychologist. We provide individual therapy for anxiety, trauma, PTSD and post-accident adjustment, available in person, by Telehealth or over Zoom.

4. Do you accept CTP and WorkCover clients?

Yes. We regularly work with:

  • CTP (Compulsory Third Party) insurers and claimants
  • WorkCover and workers compensation matters
  • Case managers and rehabilitation consultants
  • GP, psychologist and allied health referrers
5. What's next?
  • Call 1800 867 277 or send an enquiry, and we will talk through where you are
  • We match you to the right starting point: psychological support, an OT driver assessment, or graded on-road rehabilitation
  • You progress at your pace, from fear of driving to freedom
