Telehealth & Zoom Appointments
Psychological support wherever you are, across NSW and beyond
Telehealth & Zoom
Every psychological service we offer is available remotely. Same registered psychologist, same standard of care — delivered securely by Telehealth or Zoom, wherever you are.
Why it matters here
When travel is part of the problem
Telehealth is not a lesser version of therapy at Safe2Go. For a service that works with people affected by motor vehicle accidents, it is often the more sensible starting point.
Many of our clients are referred to us precisely because getting into a car has become difficult. Asking someone with driving anxiety or post-accident trauma to make a cross-city trip in order to receive treatment for that anxiety puts a barrier in front of the very thing they came for. Remote appointments remove it.
Others are managing physical injury, pain, fatigue, or caring responsibilities that make regular travel into the Sydney CBD impractical. Some live well outside Sydney. Telehealth means none of these becomes the reason treatment stops.
Telehealth suits you if
- Driving or being a passenger is currently distressing or something you avoid
- You are managing pain, fatigue or limited mobility after an injury
- You live outside Sydney, or somewhere with a long or awkward commute
- Work, childcare or shift patterns make fixed appointment times difficult
- You would simply rather begin from somewhere you already feel safe
How it works
Simple to join
A link, not an app
You receive a secure link before your appointment. Open it in your browser at the agreed time — there is nothing to install and no account to create.
Any device
Sessions work on a laptop, tablet or phone. All you need is a reasonable internet connection and somewhere private for the hour.
Private and secure
Appointments are confidential and conducted over a secure connection, held to the same professional standards as an in-person session.
What's available remotely
Services offered by Telehealth and Zoom
- Initial psychological assessment. The full first session, including history, symptoms, goals and claim context.
- Individual therapy. Ongoing one-to-one sessions for anxiety, trauma, PTSD and post-accident adjustment.
- Graded exposure planning. Preparing and reviewing exposure work between sessions, including the steps you take in your own environment.
- Review and reporting sessions. Progress reviews for CTP insurers, WorkCover, case managers and referring practitioners.
- Family and support-person sessions. Where it helps to include a partner or family member in part of the work.
On-road rehabilitation and occupational therapy driver assessments necessarily happen in person — but the psychological work that surrounds them does not have to. Many clients combine remote therapy with in-person driving sessions, and we schedule the two together.
Funding
Cost and referrals
Telehealth and Zoom appointments are charged at the same rate as in-person sessions, and are accepted under the same funding arrangements — CTP claims, WorkCover, case manager referrals, GP and allied health referrals, and private clients.
No referral is needed if you are funding treatment yourself. Call 1800 867 277 or send an enquiry and we will arrange a time.
Start from wherever you are
You do not have to drive across Sydney to begin treatment for a fear of driving. Book a Telehealth or Zoom appointment and start today.
